Cross Country Journey
My mind keeps wandering off to this crazy idea to take a couple weeks off and travel from my home here on the Atlantic to the shores of the Pacific, stopping at areas of interest and to visit friends and family along the way. The more I think about it, the more I want to do it. I think we often deprive ourselves of such adventures, even if we have the resources to take them.
If you have any suggestions for places I should visit around the areas already posted, please comment at the bottom of this page! The general idea for the route thus far is to drive through the center of the country to California, and then turn around a take a more southern route down to Florida and then back here to Virginia.

Um, I think it’s going to take longer than 2 weeks. If it helps, you are welcome to sleep in Apple Valley. We are an hour or so from 29 Palms, not really on your way. But I could probably even find a mattress.
Thanks Willis. I can’t believe I actually didn’t comment back back in August. Where does the time go? 29 Palms is a stop because I have some friends there, and I’d likely stay there if I did stop. But thanks for the proposed hospitality!
…who knows when/if I’ll actually do this.
We might not have a mattress for you to sleep on, but we do have a deep, super comfty couch and some booze!
